NSERC Strategic Partnership Grants for Projects and Networks Infosession

McGill University’s Office of Sponsored Research is hosting an information session on a new funding opportunity through the NSERC Strategic Partnership Grants for Projects and Networks. 

The goal of NSERC’s Strategic Partnership Grants is to increase research and training in targeted areas that could strongly enhance Canada’s economy, society and/or environment within the next 10 years. Research and training under these grants must be conducted through a partnership between academic researchers and industry or government organizations.

The proposed research must support the goal of Strategic Partnership Grants and fall within the targeted areas below.

  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Environment and Agriculture
  • Information and Communications Technologies
  • Natural Resources and Energy

10:00 – 10:30    

Overview of the SPG Project and Network Grants (Kaila Folinsbee, OSR)

10:30 – 11:15

Panel discussion by successful applicants to the SPG – Projects competition (Theo van de Ven, Chemistry; Galen Halverson, Earth & Planetary Sciences; Jeff Bergthorson, Mechanical Engineering)

11:15 – 12:00 

Q & A period
