Dr. Fatemeh Sadeghi and Rabbi Michael Whitman will discuss the question of menses in the law, social life, and spirituality of Islamic and Jewish traditions, with a focus on both traditional understanding and modern interpretations. The talk will be moderated by O'Brien Graduate Fellow Tanya Monforte.

This event is part of the "Conversations in Islamic and Talmudic Law" series, which is aimed at promoting dialogue between religious communities, while also informing the wider population of different religious perspectives. It is organized by the McGill Centre for Human Rights & Legal Pluralism.
