Calling McGill QT's!

In honour of International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, SEDE invites LGBT2SQIA folks (queer and questioning!) to a Community dinner and art-making workshop to share the experiences of being at McGill, whether you are a student, staff, faculty, or community member who wants to share their experience.

We had a very successful first Tea for T event last month and want to continue to expand our network to discuss mentorship opportunities, show solidarity with one another, and brainstorm strategies and practices to address the particular barriers we singularly and collectively face.

In the context of being LGBTQ2SIA:

-What is it like to be at McGill?
-What changes have you seen over the course of your time here?
-Where have we come from, where are we now, and where would you like to go?
-Where do you find support?
-How can we work in solidarity with other marginalized communities within and outside of academia?
-Who isn't here?

This is a closed event for LGBT2SQIA. This is a safer space: if you are unsure of whether you fit this description, you are probably welcome! If you would like to contact the organizers about it, please feel free to do so using the e-mail below.

Free dinner provided, as well as art materials to help share your experiences.
No pressure to participate any more than you feel comfortable doing.

Childcare, ASL/LSQ and whisper translation available upon request, 72 hours in advance !
