Advisory body recommends 3rd COVID-19 vaccine dose for some immunocompromised Canadians - CBC, September 10, 2021
Dr. Madhukar Pai, Professor at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health and past McGill Global Health Programs Director, is among the experts quoted by CBC.
"…In response to an inquiry from CBC News, Dr. Madhukar Pai, a professor of epidemiology and global health at McGill University in Montreal, said NACI's approach to limiting third doses to immunocompromised individuals is a "sensible strategy." "I hope NACI will not suggest a [third] dose for the entire general population," he said. "That would be tough to defend from a scientific perspective and very hard to justify from a global vaccine equity standpoint."
