Professor Dennis Jensen has been named Director of the McGill Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH). The appointment is for a three-year term, effective immediately.
Dr. Jensen is an Associate Professor of Kinesiology and Physical Education and Director of the Clinical Exercise and Respiratory Physiology Laboratory (CERPL). In addition he is an Associate Member of the Respiratory Epidemiology and Clinical Research Unit with the Montreal Chest Institute's Department of Medicine, and Medical Scientist of the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Center.
Dr. Jensen’s research centers on exercise and health science, with a particular focus on better understanding the mechanisms of activity-related breathlessness and exercise intolerance in patients with chronic cardiopulmonary disease. The McGill Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH) serves as a focal point for researchers with an interest in promoting health through physical activity.
PATH's fourth annual symposium, Physical Activity and Women's Health, will be held on Friday, November 24.
