KPE's Dr. Pearsall provides tips to avoid slips on icy sidewalks this winter, via CBC News

David Pearsall, Associate Professor in our Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, spoke to CBC Montreal this week on the topic of avoid falls on the city's icy sidewalks.

Titled "4 tips to avoid slips on icy sidewalks this winter: Most winter boots not reliable on icy surfaces, according to lab tests," by Ainslie MacLellan, the CBC article provides some general tips, and covers some of the research on the subject.

Dr. Pearsall is Director of McGill's Ice Hockey Research Group, and a member of the McGill Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH). His areas of research expertise include biomechanics, human locomotion -running on irregular terrains, and applied ice hockey research.
