KPE's Dr. Shane Sweet is one of McGill’s newest Tier 2 CRC's

Congratulations to Dr. Shane Sweet on being awarded a Canada Research Chair in Participation, Well-Being, and Physical Disability (Tier 2).

Dr. Shane Sweet joined the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education as an Assistant Professor in August of 2013. His research aims at understanding, changing and promoting physical activity adoption and maintenance in adults with a focus on special populations (i.e., adults with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and spinal cord injury)

Tier 2 Canada Research Chairs are for exceptional emerging researchers, acknowledged by their peers as having the potential to lead in their field. A Chair is tenable for five years and renewable once. For each Tier 2 Chair, the institution receives $100,000 annually for five years.
