In Memoriam - Wallace Crowston

On February 25, 2024, a major figure in McGill Desautels’ history passed away. Wallace (Wally) Crowston was a former professor and dean who led the Faculty of Management during the late 1980s and 1990s. Crowston’s research explored the use of computer-based information systems to plan and coordinate project management, and he authored widely cited articles in major journals. Crowston was born in Toronto in 1934, and during his career, developed national and international networks to facilitate research, curricular development, and learning opportunities.
