Omicron set to increase vaccine inequity as global demand surges for Covid-19 shots - The Straits Time, December 5, 2021
Dr. Madhukar Pai, Professor at the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health and past McGill Global Health Programs Director is among the experts quoted by Singapore-based media The Straits Time.
"Omicron will essentially make rich nations hoard vaccines even more, be even less generous about donations, give boosters to entire populations (and) close borders. How will we vaccinate the world at this rate?" said Dr Madhukar Pai, an epidemiologist at McGill University's School of Population and Global Health in Canada."
