2015 Accounting Recruitment Campaign
All Cont. Studies students who want to participate in the Accounting Recruitment must be registered with CaPS for the Fall 2015 session by paying the $60 CaPS fee plus applicable taxes in person at the CaPS office (Brown Bldg, 3600 McTavish St., Room 2200) in order to participate in the September campaign. The CaPS fee entitles you to all activities, workshops and specialized programs provided by CaPS. Becoming a member of the Desautels Accounting Society (DAS) is a separate process. There is a registration fee of 25$ that includes your participation at the DAS Accounting Cocktail & Handbook. DAS registration will be available on-line in the coming weeks on their website http://www.dasonline.ca/
Once you have registered at CaPS you will have access to myFuture and can register for the firm tours.
Procedure for registration for CPA Recruitment firm tours via myFuture https://csm-caps.mcgill.ca/students/ (under Events > Information Sessions) opens Thursday, August 20th! Space is limited and registration is on a first come, first serve basis so don’t wait to sign up! Firm tours begin as of Thursday, September 3rd.
McGill Accounting Cocktail September 9th Registration Now Open
DAS membership (Handbook included!)/Cocktail registration is now open to students participating in Accounting Recruitment! This event takes place on Wednesday September 9th at Marché Bonsecours from 6pm-9pm. Full details in link below. This event sold out last year – do not wait until the last minute to join DAS!

They are not only designed for you to learn about the company, but also for the recruiters and employees to get to know you and see if you are an interesting and committed candidate. It is therefore crucial that you take part in these events. If you do not, this can seriously impact your chances of getting an interview.***
- You MUST be there dressed in business attire.
- Your DAS membership fee includes attendance at this Cocktail (it must be paid for in advance).
- You MUST register with DAS (which includes DAS membership and access to the cocktail) – the fee is 25$

Baffled by the CACEE form for CPA Recruitment? CaPS is offering 2 workshops that will walk you through best practices when completing the form for Montreal CPA Recruitment. Please note this is not an individual CACEE review session.

If you are using Google Maps to find directions to their office location, please search using the address indicated in the Description section, or using 'FBBL' (due to the recent merge, their new name 'BDO Montréal Crémazie' has not yet been registered with Google Maps)
Attendance lists will be sent to firms 24 hours prior to their tour so if you sign up, show up! It is understandable if an urgent matter comes up but don’t be a ‘no-show’!

• Don’t be a ‘no-show’- Firms make us aware! Results in a strike against you.

A listing of all firms recruiting for both permanent and summer positions will be available on the DAS website as well as a description on how to apply to each firm.

Sept. 30 – Oct. 13: Closing Activities
Oct. 13: Offers extended up until Oct. 16
Oct. 16: Deadline to Accept/Decline Offer
IMPORTANT CACEE INFORMATION
Quebec firms will require a CACEE form to apply. Out of province firms usually require a resume and cover letter. Your transcript is always required. Download the CACEE form from the CACEE website English version or French version to fill it out. Do not change the formatting of the form.
