Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Dr. Howard Gardner speaks on the ways in which digital technologies shape and effect young people’s identity, imagination and intimacy. Presented by the McGill Faculty of Education’s LCII Office and LEARN Quebec, Dr. Alenoush Saroyan of our Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology is discussant for the event. Perhaps best known for his theory of multiple intelligences, Dr. Gardner is the author of over 20 books, was awarded a MacArthur Fellowship in 1981, a fellowship from the John S. Guggenheim Memorial Foundation in 2000, an honorary doctorate from McGill, and named by both Foreign Policy and Prospect magazine in their lists of the world’s Top 100 influential intellectuals.
