Desautels students are invited to participate in a special reflective session on social impact and technological innovation with McGill’s Associate Vice-Principal of Innovation, Angelique Mannella. Ms. Mannella will share her personal experience and insight from the fields of digital entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, and social innovation. The session will include collaborative brainstorming to explore ways through which innovation can be promoted and incorporated into the McGill community.

Angelique Mannella is McGill University’s first Associate Vice-Principal of Innovation. Prior to joining McGill in June 2016, she advised multi-national companies on various research and development commercialization strategies, worked closely with the infoDev group at the World Bank, and supported digital entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives in the Caribbean and in African markets including Kenya, South Africa, and Senegal. She is also the founder of Decode Global, a mobile games startup that specializes in gaming for social good. She has over a decade of experience in technology product design and previously worked for Cisco Systems and Nokia. Ms. Mannella holds degrees from McGill University (BEng), the London School of Economics (MSc) & INSEAD (MBA).
