Jan-Christoph Meister (Hamburg)
Jan-Christoph Meister's research focuses on digital text-analysis and the creation of tools for linguists, philologists and literary scholars. He is involved in several projects, including The Digital Commons Initiative (DCI) and Computer Aided Textual Markup and Analysis (CATMA). His past work also includes Algorithms for generating stories, and investigations into narrative temporality. His work is funded by a number of German and European agencies. Among his latest publications are a reader on time, Time: From Concept to Narrative Construct - A Reader (2011), Einführung in die Erzähltextanalyse (2008), and and essay, 'The DNS of Mediacy' (2009). He has an essay forthcoming in entitled "Crowd sourcing "true meaning": A collaborative markup approach to textual interpretation.
