Peel 3661 3661 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1X1, CA

Social media sites are fast becoming an important and integral part of the academic life. However, there is little data on why and how scholars are using them.

This presentation will report on the results of our ongoing study on how academics are using these new sites for communication and information dissemination. We also examine how faculty themselves view the role that social media might play in the tenure and promotion process at academic institutions.

All are welcome.
