Construction Start: McIntyre, Stewart Biology, Life Sciences, and Ludmer - repairs in research spaces
McGill University has mandated Construction G.E.P. Inc. to carry out the following project: McIntyre, Stewart Biology North Wing, Life Sciences, and Ludmer / 23-005 - Repairs in various research spaces.
This project includes necessary repairs in various research spaces across the downtown campus. Repair work includes patching floor finishes, painting walls and ceilings, and new window covers.

Construction start date: March 2024
Planned construction end date: March 2025
Work schedule: Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any additional hours will be coordinated.
Scope of work: The project includes painting repairs of floors, walls, and ceilings throughout the 14th and 15th floor of the McIntyre Medical Building, the 8th floor of the Stewart Biology Building's North Wing, and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor of the Life Sciences Complex, Goodman Cancer Institute. The project also include the installation of new window coverings on the 4th floor of the Ludmer Building.
If any unplanned work is needed in adjacent rooms, the users of these rooms will be contacted for more detailed coordination ahead of time.
Impact:
Access throughout the main hallway of the McIntyre Medical Building's 14th floor facility will be modified during the work and some rooms will be inaccessible during certain phases. Signage will be posted to advise occupants.
There might be noise disturbances during the surface preparation period of each construction phase. Such construction work will be coordinated in advance with the building director and the building occupants.
