Alex Soloway announced winner of the McGill Classical Concerto Competition

Artist Diploma Piano Student Alex Soloway has been announced as the winner of this year's Classical Concerto Competition. He is a student of Prof. Ilya Poletaev and was also a winner in 2014 of the McGill Chamber Music Competition as a member of the Aeolus Trio.  Soloway has already performed in Canada, Europe, and the United States, including concerts at the Canadian Opera Company’s Four Seasons Centre in Toronto, the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, and Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall in New York. In 2015, he was a national finalist in the Canadian Music Competition. Soloway will perform Mozart's Piano Concerto in A Major, K.V. 488, as a soloist with the McGill Symphony Orchestra  on  January 20 and 21, 2017. Event details here.
