APEC Peru 2016 (Nov. 19-20)

Prime Ministrer Trudeau will attend the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, the year-long hosting of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings in Peru, which will culminate on 19–20 November 2016 in Lima. (APEC)

Sonia Lazlo, Director of the Institute for the Study of International Development, McGill University

She can comment on the importance for Canada to diversify its international trade partners, even more with the uncertain future of NAFTA and CETA. She also has insights in the Peruvian economy and how extreme poverty declined in the last few years. She’s also a professor of Economics at McGill.
