Congrats to Dr. Erdstein, Appointed Division Director of Adolescent Medicine

Congratulations to Dr. Julius Erdstein, Assistant Professor, who has been appointed Division Director of Adolescent Medicine within the Department of Pediatrics and the MUHC for a five-year term beginning December 1st, 2016. Dr. Erdstein served as Interim Director of this Division since May 2015.

A McGill graduate, trained in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, Dr. Erdstein is that rare of birds who bridges the arbitrary community/academic divide in practice. He combines a thriving community-based specialty pediatric practice at the Children's Care Clinic on the West Island with work in all facets of adolescent medicine at the MUHC. Since assuming the Interim directorship 18 months ago, Dr. Erdstein has brought a remarkable level of enthusiasm, innovation, passion and advocacy to his role that no doubt has improved both patient service in difficult times and enhanced academic attainment. His work on behalf of his patient population and his Divisional members could serve as a role model for other Departmental and hospital leaders, including myself.
