Desautels brings sustainability to the fore
An interdisciplinary specialization offered by the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM), in conjunction with the McGill School of Environment and the Department of Geography, is giving business students a head start in the increasingly sustainability-concerned business world.
MDIIM Director Steve Maguire calls sustainability a “point of differentiation,” saying that before this programme, a student with a passion for sustainability would be fed into the science stream, but that now there’s business option for them to explore. And the unique job skills that they will possess after graduation will only help open up the job opportunities as sustainability takes up more and more mindshare in the business world.
