FARMING CAMP AT MACDONALD CAMPUS COULD CULTIVATE LOVE OF AGRICULTURE

A friend realized his life’s dream through one of the generous programs offered by the [Macdonald] campus of McGill University in Saint Anne-de-Bellevue…

Macdonald campus, therefore, is a God-send.  

Valérie Toupin-Dubé, an Agriculture and Environment graduate and founder of the Farm to School (FTS) Macdonald club of the MCSS (Macdonald Campus Student Society), was awarded $10,000 by Montreal-based Equiterre to augment FTS initiatives in Quebec schools. It will blend with Quebec’s curriculum so teachers can grade their students in science while the kids learn about how to eat better and contribute to a better environment. 

The FTS initiative at Macdonald Campus started with 30 participants, and this year’s summer camp is expecting 200 participants.
