Floods in Pakistan

Published: 5 August 2010

McGill continues to closely monitor the situation in Pakistan where the country’s worst flooding in nearly a century has affected more than 14 million people and left at least 1,600 dead, according to the United Nations.

Many members of our McGill family may be fearful for loved ones, friends or colleagues who may have been caught in these devastating circumstances. Those seeking information on Canadian citizens believed to be in Pakistan can contact the Emergency Operations Centre of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada at 1-800-387-3124 or by e-mail at sos [at] international.gc.ca.

We would also like to remind you of the various services that are available to members of the McGill community.
