International Arbitration Roundtable

Published: 7 June 2009

From June 4 to 6, 2009, the Faculty’s Private Justice and the Rule of Law research team hosted a roundtable discussion where European and Canadian international arbitration specialists critically analyzed Emmanuel Gaillard’s Les aspects philosophiques du droit de l’arbitrage international, and also discussed ongoing controversies regarding the proper role of public order in this field.

The group also participated in a tour of the Court of Appeal of Quebec that was hosted by Justice Yves-Marie Morissette, former Dean of the Faculty.

The event, which was very successful, was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Dean and the Fonds québécois de recherche sur la société et la culture.
