Irwin Cotler and Ken Dryden named as Special Advisors by Michael Ignatieff

On January 30, 2009, Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff unveiled new roles for members of the Liberal caucus. Among them are Irwin Cotler, BCL'64, professor (on leave) at McGill's Faculty of Law, and Ken Dryden, LLB'73.

Professor Cotler (Mount Royal)  was appointed as Special Counsel on Human Rights & International Justice.

"I am privileged to work with one of the world's most respected and recognized human rights experts. Our caucus will benefit greatly from his wisdom and counsel," said Mr. Ignatieff.

Ken Dryden (York Centre), has been named as National Outreach Advisor, with a focus on Working Families and Poverty, and as Special Liaison, National Fundraising.

"Mr. Dryden's dedication to these areas will serve us with distinction as we rebuild and renew our Party across Canada," added Mr. Ignatieff.
