Jean-Philippe Dallaire at the heart of the Quebec National Assembly

Published: 12 January 2007

Alumnus Jean-Philippe Dallaire (BCL/LLB'06 with great distinction) has won one of the five 2006-2007 10-month internships from the Fondation Jean-Charles-Bonenfant. Along with a $15,000 bursary, Jean-Philippe is getting a unique opportunity to learn more about the National Assembly in Québec City.

Since September 2006, he has been assisting the deputies both from the government party and from the opposition with whom he has been matched, thus learning all aspects of political and administrative life at the Assembly. After this, he will lead a mission abroad with his four intern colleagues to compare other parliamentary systems.

Founded in 1978, the Fondation Jean-Charles-Bonenfant has given over a hundred students the opportunity to fully join in parliamentary life. The Fondation seeks students who shine not only through their grades but also by their involvement in community life. The Fondation promotes the research and the study of democracy, and seeks to increase and distribute knowledge on parliamentary and political institutions.
