Michael Meighen and Daniel Lamarre to be honoured at McGill Convocation

Former Canadian senator and Cirque du Soleil President and CEO will receive honorary degrees at fall convocation ceremonies

McGill University will bestow its highest honour upon two outstanding individuals by awarding them an honorary degree at this fall’s Convocation ceremonies: Michael Meighen, former Canadian senator, lawyer and cultural patron; and Daniel Lamarre, Canadian businessman and President and Chief Executive Officer of the world-renowned Cirque du Soleil.

 

They will share the stage with 1,600 graduating students at the ceremonies to be held on October 31, 2012 at Place des Arts.
