MONTREAL - Alexandra Morin-Boucher of St. Gabriel de Brandon, Que., and Andrew Hamilton, a Montreal native who was raised in Florida, are the McGill University athletes of the week for the period ending, Sept. 27, 2009.

Morin-Boucher, a 5-foot-6 forward with the soccer Martlets, scored five goals and added one assist to help McGill sweep a pair of home games over the weekend. The 21-year-old sophomore in physical and health education scored the game-winner in both contests and was in on six of McGill's seven goals scored. She netted a hat-trick and set up another marker in a 4-0 win over Bishop's last Friday, then tallied twice in a 3-0 conquest over UQTR. Morin-Boucher enrolled at McGill last fall out of College de Joliette.

Hamilton is a 25-year-old student enrolled in a business certificate program.  A native of Montreal who was raised in Florida, he scored three touchdowns and racked up 349 all-purpose yards to help McGill defeat Mount Allison 49-27 in Sackville, N.B., Saturday.  The six-foot, 198-pound speedster rushed 28 times for 254 yards and a pair of TDs, one of them a 53-yard romp on McGill's fifth offensive play of the game. He added two receptions for 95 yards, including an 85-yard TD catch that broke open a close game and put the Redmen ahead 20-10 late in the third quarter. Hamilton is in his first year at McGill after transferring from Concordia.
