Published: 20 July 2006

Pierre-Olivier Savoie has won the pan-Canadian Dispute Resolution Award in Law Studies, sponsored by the Department of Justice of Canada. Winning entries from all Canadian law faculties compete on a national level for this prize.

The committee selected his work as the winner "because it is exceptionally well documented and contributes innovatively to theoretical literature in the area of dispute resolution in Canada."

Mr. Savoie has won a $1,500 prize, to be used to travel to the conference where his work will be presented. His text has already been published in the Canadian Yearbook of International Law (2004). Last year, Pierre-Olivier Savoie won the faculty-level prize for his work.
