These periodicals are excellent and comprehensive job hunting resources. Using these tools, you can go one step beyond the standard internet job hunt. Find job postings in Canada and abroad, in industry and academia, from science to teaching to theatre.

The winter issue of Job Postings magazine is available for free on a rack just outside of our office. This issue includes articles on office romance and the job outlook in the Canadian west.

Other new acquisitions include Asperger Syndrome & Employment: What People with Asperger Syndrome Really Want by Sarah Hendrickx, found in section 3.45 of our resource centre. This book explores why people with AS have difficulty with work and how to resolve those issues using scenarios and suggestions.

Also check out the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Winter 2009 Salary Survey: 2008-2009 Beginning Offers to get an idea of salary trends for new graduates.

Did you know that you can check out A/V materials overnight? We have a diverse collection of videos, DVDs and CDs, many of them documenting CaPS career panels on a variety of topics, such as working overseas, overviews of specific industries and how to survive graduate school. Alternatively, you may watch these items on a computer in the resource centre.
