New appointment: Senior advisor to the associate vice-principal (communications)

Gabrielle Korn has been appointed senior advisor to the associate vice-principal (communications). She is responsible for providing counsel and support in relation to McGill's communications and public affairs strategies.

Before joining McGill, Korn, who is fluently bilingual, was director of communications for Les Amis de la montagne (Friends of Mount Royal). Prior to Les Amis, she held numerous positions in development and alumni affairs at Concordia University.

"Gabrielle's wealth of experience in communications and alumni relations and development is an enormous asset to McGill and I'm very pleased to have her on board," said Jennifer Robinson, associate vice-principal (communications).

Korn started at McGill on September 8. Her responsibilities include providing counsel and support to the AVP (communications) in the integration of communications units at McGill and in the development of communications plans and strategies in the areas of alumni relations and fundraising, internal communications, media relations and community relations.
