Collège des Médecins swears in McGill medicine grads

One step closer to the real world. That is what 30 graduates of McGill's Faculty of Medicine launched toward on June 30 as they were sworn in by the Collège des Médecins du Québec. Dr Markus Martin, Administrator of the Quebec College of Physicians, presided over the ceremony.

"This is an important and necessary step in becoming part of the medical community in Quebec," said Dr Abraham Fuks, dean of McGill University's Faculty of Medicine. "This accreditation permits a doctor to practice family medicine or to be a specialist in a specific field."

Dr Fuks and Associate Dean of Post-Graduate Medical Education Dr Jean-Pierre Farmer were also part of the swearing-in ceremony.
