Published: 14 September 2011

The Royal Society of Canada (RSC) announced 78 new Fellows this week, including nine McGill researchers and scholars from the faculties of Medicine, Law and Arts.

Among them is Professor Desmond Manderson, who holds the Canada Research Chair in Law and Discourse at the Faculty of Law.

Dean Daniel Jutras extended the Faculty of Law's congratulations to Desmond Manderson.  "For many years now," said Dean Jutras, "Desmond has brought unique creativity and insight to a research agenda that is truly interdisciplinary. He keeps pushing the boundaries of fundamental research in Law and the Humanities. His distinctive contribution to McGill is indeed most evident in his leadership of the dynamic Institute for the Public Life of Arts and Ideas (IPLAI)."
