For students — Important information about Fall convocation

Dear student,

Fall 2004 convocation is just around the corner.

Mark this date in your agenda: Thursday, October 28, 2004 at 2:30 pm, in Place des Arts. The day that you have worked so hard for is finally here! Please go to the Convocations website to get all the information pertaining to graduation and convocation. A hard copy of the information has been sent to your mailing address on Minerva.

Important information

YOU ARE NOW ABLE TO MAKE CHANGES TO YOUR NAME ON MINERVA. First, confirm the appearance of your name. If your name is missing an accent, a hyphen, an apostrophe or wrong capitalization, go to Minerva and make the additions or changes accordingly. Minerva has a chart of special characters that you must use to make any additions to your name as needed. Go to: www.is.mcgill.ca./whelp/gen_help/name_change.htm.

October 8, 2004, is the deadline to make any changes to your name prior to convocation. If you require any changes to your name on your diploma after convocation, a $60 fee will be charged.

If you wish to make a change to your LEGAL NAME, e.g., from Anna Jones to Anna Maria Jones, you must submit a request, written or in person, to the Admissions, Recruitment and Registrar's Office, James Administration Building, Room 205, 845 Sherbrooke Street West, Montreal, Quebec H3A 2T5. Official documentation of the name change must be provided. Changes must be completed by October 8, 2004. A $60 fee will apply if any changes to your name on the diploma are required after convocation.
