Synchro team golden at CUSSL championships

WATERLOO -- Jennifer Gill-Wilson of Trois-Rivieres, Que., and Toronto–born Vanessa Foucher each won a pair of gold medals as McGill captured their third consecutive Gerry Dubrule Trophy as champions of the Canadian University Synchro Swim League, at Waterloo, Saturday.

Gill-Wilson, a science sophomore, also won a silver medal in the team routine. She was first of eight competitors in the solo routine, then teamed up with senior Ami Feige of Toronto to place first of 15 entries in the duet routine.

Foucher, a science senior, won the novice solo routine and paired with Marion Turner, a freshman from North Vancouver, B.C., to win the novice duet routine.

McGill also finished second of 17 entries in the team routine, which was coached by Feige.
