Alumni Education presents "McGill Reads Special Event: Architectural Walking Tour" - SOLD OUT
McGill Reads Special Event: Architectural Walking Tour
Join Helen Malkin, BArch’83, and Nancy Dunton, BCom’91, both of
whom have more than twenty years experience in the creation of
programs and projects about architecture, as they lead an
architectural walking tour of seven contemporary buildings situated
on McGill’s downtown campus. The tour will be based on their
recently published A Guidebook to Contemporary Architecture in
Montreal, which presents 75 important projects that reflect the
resurgence of architecture in the city over the last 25 years. This
is an opportunity to gain a unique understanding of the University
and the architectural history of its surroundings.
The tour will last approximately 90 minutes and will take place
rain or shine, so please come prepared. We will depart from the
McGill University Bookstore shortly after 2:00 p.m. and will wrap
up the tour with light refreshments back at the Bookstore.
Space is limited. You must pay in advance to reserve your spot.
Please note: guests may reserve a maximum of four tickets.
On the McGill campus there is a $7.00 flat rate for parking on
weekends. A limited number of parking spots can be found on city
streets. We encourage you to take public transportation.
Cost: $10 CDN
Online registration is available on Alumnilife.
