Media advisory: Lecture on communities participating in medical research
McGill's Department of Family Medicine is pleased to welcome Dr. Carol Herbert, Professor of Family Medicine and Dean of the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario
Dr. Herbert will be presenting McGill's 2007 Dr. Hirsh Rosenfeld Distinguished Public Lecture in Family Medicine, entitled "Participatory Research With Communities."
Dr. Herbert is a distinguished family physician and professor of medicine, and was the first female family physician in Canada to become dean of a medical school. She has conducted numerous participatory research studies in First Nations communities, and teaches this approach to primary care researchers.
Dr. Herbert will be in Montreal for three days, and media interviews can be arranged.
