The Faculty of Law is happy to announce the launch of its new website: the McGill Business Law Platform. Guided by Professor Peer Zumbansen, inaugural incumbent of the Professorship in Business Law, the site will act as a hub of excellence in national, international, and transnational business law.

The Platform offers McGill students and guest writers the opportunity to explore business law questions through a blog called the Business Law Meter.

The Faculty of Law is delighted to announce that Samuel Gale Professor Robert Leckey, BCL/LLB’02, has been reappointed as dean. Dean Leckey’s reappointment, approved by the Board of Governors at its meeting on 10 December 2020, is effective 1 July 2021 for a term of five years.

Dean Leckey joined the Faculty of Law in 2006, where he teaches and researches in constitutional law, family law, and comparative law. From 2014 to 2016, he served as director of the Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to share that Professor Andrea K. Bjorklund has been elected a vice-president of the governing Executive Council of the American Society of International Law (ASIL) at the organization’s 113th annual meeting in Washington D.C. on March 27. Upon sharing the news, the ASIL highlighted Professor Bjorklund’s active involvement in the leadership of the ASIL dating back a number of years.
