Biography

Ibrahim Abou-Haidar is a lecturer in Risk Management and Insurance and Risk Financing at McGill University. He is also member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS).

Ibrahim holds a bachelor's degree and an MBA, both with an emphasis on finance. After completing his Moody’s financial analyst certification and risk management courses at McGill University, he earned the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) professional designation awarded by Global Risk Management Institute Inc. (GRMI)-New York. He currently holds the position of a Senior Trade Finance Specialist at the Royal Bank of Canada in Montreal.

With a career in risk management and commercial banking that started in 1999, Ibrahim has extensive experience in financial structuring for small and middle enterprises in Canada and internationally. He also provides mentoring to candidates integrating into the Quebec job market with the metropolitan Montreal Board of Trade.
