Language of Instruction
Most courses at McGill are taught in English however, students may submit any written work in English or in French, except in courses where knowledge of the language is one of the objectives of the course.

Textbooks
All required textbooks will be listed in your course description and can be purchased at the McGill Bookstore, which carries new and used textbooks. You can also find custom courseware, reference books, stationary, office supplies, diploma frames, McGill clothing, and giftware at the Bookstore.
You can also find used textbooks at some of the bookstores around McGill, or you can check the McGill Classified Ads, where many students sell their old course materials.
McGill Libraries
There are 13 branches of the McGill library with collections ranging across all disciplines. The library also provides a wide range of online resources, group study areas, and more.
McGill Computer Store
The McGill Computer Store is located on the second floor of the McGill Bookstore and sells computer equipment and software to McGill students and staff. Prices are discounted for students.
Course Evaluations (Mercury)
Mercury is McGill’s online course evaluation system, accessed through Minerva. At the end of each term, you will be asked to evaluate your courses online.
Evaluations and comments submitted via Mercury are strictly confidential and help improve the School’s offerings to students. Your feedback is important!
