I became a member of the Centre for Research on Children and Families when I was a doctoral student at the University of Toronto. I have had the privilege of working with Professor Barbara Fallon and being involved in many of her projects including the 2008 Canadian Incidence Study of Reported Abuse and Neglect (CIS-2008). I have worked for fifteen years in various child welfare capacities including a youth treatment centre, group home, and as a front-line child protection worker (i.e., supervised access, family services and children's services). I am currently the manager of the Ontario Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (OCANDS), and am an Assistant Professor (CLTA) at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. My research focuses on child welfare.
