Need to speak to someone?

The stress around campus is very high right now – in addition to final exam stress, the upcoming holiday season also brings additional pressures and challenges for many students. If you are having a really rough time, you may need to speak to someone, and there are quite a lot of ways to do this. Student Services recently put out a very useful postcard which lists the various ways students can access support, during regular office hours or after-hours. Things like Empower Me allows students to connect with a qualified counselor immediately. Nightline and the Peer Support Centre are also excellent resources. It’s also important to highlight our resources for support for students affected by sexual violence, including the Office for Sexual Violence Response, Support & Education, and the Sexual Assault Centre of the McGill Students’ Society. Beyond our campus, there is also Tel-Aide, Suicide Action Montreal, and resources such as 7 Cups or Vent Over Tea. If you are struggling, and need to talk to someone, some of these resources may help you. Stay well.

Study hard, stay well.
