The National Women's Studies Association held the 2016 Annual Congress in Montreal. The theme for the Conference was "Decoloniality". It brought together feminist scholars, researchers and academics from multiple fields and backgrounds to present their work, especially pertaining to the question of how to decolonize systems of education and pedagogy, and how to counter the racism and sexism that is still prevalent in academia today.
Research assistant Ayesha Vemuri attended the event on behalf of the IMPACTS Project.
