B.C. Government Announces $10 Million in Funding for Community-Based Sexual Assault Services

Published: 26 May 2020

Today, the British Columbia government announced $10 million in funding over three years to community-based sexual assault programming. This is great news to community-based sexual assault programs, including West Coast LEAF, an iMPACTS Project partner. Organizations like West Coast LEAF play an essential role in supporting survivors of sexual violence.

While there is still a lot of work that needs to be done, this announcement is encouraging and represents a positive step towards tackling gender-based violence in society. Congratulations to West Coast LEAF, other community organizations in B.C. and, most importantly, to the survivors who will benefit from the community-based sexual assault programming.

Follow West Coast LEAF on Facebook for updates and visit their website for information about their services.
