Published: 15 April 2020

A video titled "You Clap for Me Now" features UK residents and people of foreign heritage reciting an anti-racist poem in order to highlight the crucial role immigrant workers are playing in the COVID-19 outbreak.

The poem was penned by Darren James Smith and produced by Sachini Imbuldeniya. The video begins by stating 'What the UK is most afraid of has come from overseas, taking our jobs and making it unsafe to walk the streets' and features Britons with black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds who are key workers during the global pandemic. These key workers including doctors, nurses, teachers, shopkeepers and delivery drivers, many of whom have previously experienced discrimination.
