#ConsentMattersSFU Panel: A Conversation on Cyberconsent

Simon Fraser University launched the Consent Matters campaign for the first time in January 2016. Since then, #consentmatterssfu is an annual campaign hosted by the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office (SVSPO). This year the campaign is taking place from September 14th to 18th, 2020.

As part of this year's campaign, the SVSPO is hosting a panel titled "A Conversation about Cyberconsent" where panelists and guests will have a conversation about the impacts of online gender-based violence and how we can be part of creating a safer and more nurturing online community by modeling cyberconsent.

PhD candidate and iMPACTS research assistant Chris Dietzel is one of the four invited panelists. Chris will be talking about consent online, including in the context of dating apps, which he studies for his research.
