Advisory Committee for the Selection of a new Dean

Professor Paul Allison will end his second five-year term as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry on June 30, 2018. In accordance with the University Statutes, an Advisory Committee to the Principal has been struck for the selection of a new Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry. The composition of the Committee, chaired by Professor Christopher Manfredi, Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic), is available at: https://www.mcgill.ca/secretariat/advisory/dean-faculty-dentistry The Advisory Committee has a mandate to find individuals best qualified to lead the Faculty of Dentistry in the years ahead. To guide its deliberations, the Committee is interested in hearing the views of members of the McGill community on the opportunities, challenges, issues, and priorities facing the next Dean of the Faculty over the next 5-10 years, and the qualifications, leadership skills, experience and attributes that the candidate should possess. As part of the Committee’s consultation process, the Advisory Committee will be holding face-to-face meetings with the McGill community on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 between 2:00 and 4:00 pm in room 102, 2001 McGill College Avenue. The schedule of the consultation sessions is as follows: 2:00-3:00 pm: consultation session with the Faculty of Dentistry 2:00-2:20 pm: all Dentistry academic staff 2:20-2:40 pm: all Dentistry administrative and support staff 2:40-3:00 pm: all Dentistry students 3:00-3:30 pm: consultation session with Vice-Principals, Deans, Associate Deans 3:30-4:00 pm: all academic staff, administrative staff and all students
