Begum Sener is a postdoctoral researcher at the Affective Mechanisms Lab at McGill. Her research focuses on emotions in online social networks. She specializes in text analysis and uses Natural Language Processing tools such as word embeddings (e.g., BERT, fastText), topic models (e.g., LDA) and lexica.
