Privacy policy

The Desautels Faculty of Management myFuture career system makes use of your personal information in order to provide you with its full suite of services. This information is used to identify you, contact you, target relevant job opportunities to you, set up career advising appointments and interviews, invite you to events such as career fairs and workshops and to improve the quality of our career advising services. This information includes, but is not limited to, name, McGill ID, address, telephone number, email address, citizenship, program, and grade point average. Students may oppose the use of this information by the Soutar Career Centre at Desautels Faculty of Management  by completing an Opposition Form at Enrolment Services or at the Student Affairs Office (Macdonald Campus).

McGill University and Career Management at Desautels values and respects your personal information. We will not give, sell or transfer any personal information to a third party without your prior express permission. To this end, we are bound by the various Quebec privacy legislations, and in particular the Act Respecting Access to Documents held by Public Bodies and the Protection of Personal Information (Access Act), to collect and use such personal information only for delivering the stated service, and to protect the client information. When the purposes for which personal information was collected or used have been achieved, the University shall destroy the information, subject to the Archives Act.
