Gender identity workshop with GRIS-Montréal

Wednesday, March 13, 2024 14:30to16:00
Donald E. Armstrong Building Room 370, 3420 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 3L1, CA

To increase McGill Desautels’ community knowledge on the subject of gender diversity, and to foster a more inclusive environment for members of gender-diverse communities, McGill Desautels’ EDI Team  partnered up with GRIS-Montréal to offer you a workshop on the subject. We are grateful to have two speakers from GRIS-Montréal who are experienced in sharing their own stories and perspectives as trans and/or non-binary individuals. They will generously answer all the questions the participants might have, and they will draw their answers from their own experiences; therefore this workshop is not theory-driven, it is rather participatory and testimony-driven. Facilitators from GRIS-Montréal are committed to answer as openly possible, speaking to what they have experienced and are still experiencing as people from gender-diverse communities.

The workshop will be in the Armstrong Building, Room 370, on Wednesday, March 13th, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. All members of the McGill Desautels community are welcome to attend (students, staff, faculty).

As this is a participative workshop, spaces are limited to 30 participants. If you wish to attend, please register as soon as possible. This workshop is free for all Desautels members, but if you wish to make a donation to GRIS-Montréal to support their cause, you can do so here.

For any questions, please reach out to Tatiana Lamoureux Gauvin, EDI Associate at tatiana.gauvin [at] mcgill.ca.
