World's #1 Student City
Out of 125 cities, Montreal made it to the top as the world's #1 student city (QS Best Student Cities 2016-17).
“This ranking is a reflection of how highly our students, and the global workplace, value Montreal’s universities,” said Suzanne Fortier, Principal and Vice-Chancellor [of McGill University]. “It is also a validation of the city’s welcoming spirit and exciting creativity. Montreal is a place of coming-together: different languages and cultures, the arts and commerce, deep history and a visionary future. Our hometown is a special city, and students want to live and study here. It is particularly rewarding to get this kind of international recognition during our sesquicentennial year.”
A bridge to the rest of Canada
Want to see more of what Canada has to offer? ISP students enjoy two weekend trips to surrounding areas as Montreal is exceptionally well positioned for students to take trips to other parts of the country. Picturesque Niagara Falls, the nation’s capital Ottawa, historic Quebec City, and the booming metropolis of Toronto are all easily accessible from Montreal.
Irrespective of their current undergraduate program, any student can apply to McGill’s International Summer Program. Through this program, students will learn from the world-class faculty about management and branding in a global setting. Each course has 39 contact hours granting three (3) North American credits, equivalent to six (6) ECTS credits.
