Susanna Tisa

Susanna Tisa, former Chief Executive Officer and current Board Member of Treliant LLC, which is a global risk and compliance consulting firm based in Washington DC. Susanna has played a key leadership role in all aspects of the company’s business and strategic operations since 2008. Throughout her 30+-year career in financial services, Susanna has held executive leadership positions at major banks and financial institutions, industry consulting firms, and international development corporations. Susanna has successfully built trusted advisor relationships with Treliant’s clients by helping them navigate increasingly complex risk and regulatory compliance issues. Prior to joining Treliant as its founding Managing Director, Susanna served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Freddie Mac, Vice President – Treasurer and Global Planning at Capital One Financial, and Vice President – Corporate Finance at First Interstate Bancorp. She began her career as a community banker in California, and later joined Kaplan Smith & Associates as a consultant to the savings and loan industry. Keenly interested in international development, Susanna also served as Chief Financial Officer of the Development Gateway Foundation as well as Capital Strategy Advisor to global microfinance network FINCA International. She was previously Treasurer for the National Association of Women Business Owners Greater DC Chapter and has actively promoted Treliant’s efforts to build strong relationships between financial services companies and women business owners. Susanna holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Toronto and a B.Commerce from McGill University in Montreal. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Cash Manager.
